The lovely Joyce family is one of my most loyal clients and I do a family session for them every year – I love seeing the 3 little ones Jenna, Guy and Juan growing up and documenting their family journey through beautiful imagery. Mom Ann-Mari celebrated her 40th birthday and for this special event booked a cottage at La Cotte in picturesque Franschhoek – an absolute must to visit. The grounds, gardens, pool, restaurant, cottages, views – everything at La Cotte is breathtakingly beautiful. This lovely family of 5 is energetic, very adventurous and full of jokes – I adore working with them!

I always try to get clients to book their family photo session late in the afternoon when the colours start turning warm and soft (unless with little ones below 3 years old I find that mornings are definitely best) – it provides a beautiful backdrop canvas for me to work with.
