My 2016-2017 season started on a very high note with Mira and Gerhard’s gorgeous wedding at The Conservatory in Franschhoek. The décor was stylish and modern with organic touches such as the colourful ceramic bowls and botanical installation designed and made by the acclaimed South African ceramist, Hennie Meyer as well as the black and white photographic place mats (the photographs were taken by Gerhard of their farm in Lichtenburg). Mira was a beautiful picture in her soft cream dress with lace detail. Her bouquet was one of the prettiest I have yet seen. Escoffier Catering was in charge of the catering and what a feast it was for both the taste buds and eyes! Gerhard and Mira truly seem perfect for each other and the happiness shines through when their eyes meet. They met on an online dating site and Mira was the first and only person Gerhard contacted. After hours of telephone conversations he drove down all the way from North West to meet Mira in Cape Town for a weekend last year in August. The rest, as they say, is history! I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
