Jacoline & Louis (Engagement session)
Saturday, 13 June, was a rainy day like only the Western Cape can produce, right from the moment the day started! It was the kind of rainy weather that makes you want to curl up in your cosy bed with a good book and later settle in front of a fire with a glass of red wine. Adél (my assistant) and I set off to Mountain Shadows just past Paarl to meet Jacoline and Louis at 09:00. Jacoline looked so pretty in her cute dress and her husband-to-be, Louis, was ready for action in his jeans and crisp white shirt. Luckily we were geared with umbrellas! Adél brought me the plastic umbrella with lacy detail at the edges from London for which I am very grateful, it worked perfectly! Although it was challenging shooting from under an umbrella (as the rain did not stop once), Jacoline and Louis enjoyed the intimacy of an umbrella ;-). Louis was full of sports and made his fiancé laugh all the time although she was freezing! They were such a cute, spontaneous (and attractive!) couple that we all enjoyed working in the rain! What I love about rainy days are the colours - they simply bounce forward and everything looks so crisp and fresh. I also love engagement shoots because the couple can get used to the lens and simply have fun!

Pragtige, spontane foto’s! - lyk nie of hulle (of Nikki!) deur die reën afgesit is nie
Beautiful couple I was the Mua, was a bit worried about the rain. The photographer did a great job well done! Love the crispness and the umbrellas and rain really works!
